Terms

The terms, in plain words.

Last updated 22 October 2026 (governing law: Ohio). Questions: hello@remembermygift.com.

What we provide

A film and two trailers cut from the videos collected through your project, and, if you order it, a printed book made from the same videos. Starting a project, inviting people and collecting their videos are free.

What you confirm

  • You have the permission of the people you invite to use their videos in this one gift. We send invitations only to the people you add, and only for this gift.
  • If you upload your own song, you have the rights to use it. Otherwise we use music from a licensed library and credit it in the film.
  • Nothing you or your contributors send is unlawful, hateful, or something a contributor has asked us to remove.

Payment

You choose a package (Film $49, or Film + Book $109 with a softcover book and a hardcover for $20 more, plus Concierge $99 if you want it) when your trailer is ready, and pay then. Prices are in US dollars; sales tax on the book is shown before you pay. The trailer and the film are released on payment. The book is printed after you approve the proof we email you. If you bought your gift on Etsy, you paid there, and nothing more is charged here.

Changes and re-cuts

Tell us on your gift page what to move, drop or keep whole and we re-cut it. Two rounds of changes are free, up to 30 days after delivery. Clips that arrive after delivery can be added in the first week at no charge.

Your content and ours

Your videos stay yours. You give us only the licence we need to make your order. The film, the trailers and the book are yours to use however you like. We never use your videos for anything else, never show them as examples, and never use them to train anything.

Deletion

We delete the videos and our working files 30 days after delivery, or sooner if you ask. Your contributors can ask us to remove their own video at any time.

Our responsibility

If we cannot deliver, you owe nothing, and anything you paid is refunded. Our liability for a project is limited to what you paid for it. We are not responsible for what contributors say in their videos.

The legal bit

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA. If a part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when.
